All Star Sports Theme Cake and Goodies

My sister-in-law is having a baby boy and I helped her plan her baby shower.  She wanted a sports theme for her co-ed baby shower.  We got vases in the shape of soccer balls, footballs, basketballs, and baseballs, and used those for centerpieces, each one with a onesie cookie and four different balls, decorated with . They looked super cute on each of the tables lined with blue tablecloths. I also used the balls for the dessert table for the red velvet cake pops and the marshmallows covered in dark chocolate with blue sprinkles which I covered in a brown tablecloth.  The cake was a hit!  People loved it.  It was Marble loaf with vanilla buttercream filling.  The elements were all made of gumpaste. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law loved their shower elements very much and I was happy to be part of making this day special for them.

Cars Cake, Cookies and Cupcakes

The client that asked for this cake goes all out for her little boys birthday.  She wanted a tall Cars cake for his second birthday. She also asked for two cookies bouquets and cupcakes spelling out "Happy Birthday"  She gave me all the cars to place on the cake.  When I went to deliver the cake and goodies to her house, she was really really happy and I was amazed at the level of decoration for her party and how she had turned her backyard into a race track.  The table where the cake was going to be placed was gorgeous.  Hopefully she will send me pictures of it.  The flavor for this cake wash Leelee's Vanilla Specialty with dulce de leche filling.

Hugs and Stitches 3

This is a very popular theme for little girls first birthday parties.  This is not exactly how the person that ordered all these elements will be placing them, but I wanted to see how they would look arranged and to give people ideas on how to prepare a very simple dessert table.  Thanks for looking. The flavor of the cake is moist red velvet, the cookies were vanilla bean, the cupcakes and mini cakes were vanilla and chocolate.  The kind of flavors that children love!

Shades of Pink Butterfly Cake and Cookies

This is a mini replica of my Shades of Pink Butterfly cake, but this one was made for a 7 year old's birthday party, and instead of having three shades of pink in only has two. The cake is Leelee's Specialty rum cake with MMF, and the butterflies and number 7 are edible, made of gumpaste
The cookies lollipops are butter flavored and came out nice, even and golden making these cookies super moist.  They were placed in flower pots that I painted in two shades of pink and stamped with butterflies. I am pleased to say that I did this to a returning customer.   This is always a good thing. Thank you for looking!

Valentine's Pink and White Hearts Cookie bouquet

These are great to give to a friend or your sweetheart for Valentine's.  These are three sizes of cookie hearts decorated in pink and white and placed in a pretty cup that the recipient can keep and use over and over and remember the special person that gave them this gift.

Valentine's Hearts and pearls

This cookie on a stick is 5 inches and looks great by itself, but if made smaller, more cookies could be added to this bouquet.  I did a quilt effect and where the lines crossed I added pearlized dragees.

The smaller cookies are decorated with MMF and swirls were made with a fine brush with black food coloring.  two different flowers were added and some pearlized dragees.

Valentine's Hugs and Kisses Cookies and Cupcakes

For the cookie bouquet I decorated the cookies with MMF then painted the lines and designs with food coloring and a fine and a flat paint brush.

The cupcakes are vanilla covered with mmf.  I used stamps and glitter dust, pear dragees to decorate them. 

 

 

 

 

 

Christmas Cookie Bouquets

Yes, this past week was the week for cookies, not to mention some cakes in between.  I have been very busy and for this I am so thankful.  I've had to say no to people and this really kills me, but in order to bring quality work and have people want to come back, I must dedicate the right time to every creation that meets and even exceeds my customers expectation!

Things that remind me of you Cookie Bouquet

This cookie bouquet has an interesting story. The client asked me if I could make cookies for him without a particular theme, but of different things that described his relationship with his girlfriend (where she's from, favorite TV, shows, favorite video game, political party, things they argue about, comic books they read), I said, sure... So this is how this bouquet of cookies came to existence. It actually tells a story. I will never forget the clients face when he saw the cookies. He said, "she's gonna love it". It was funny because there is a cookie happy face with a bullet on it's head and I was mortified when I thought I had to make this cookie like that, but honestly, it was actually cool. I took a picture of some of the cookies. I also discovered that I have to purchase better quality paint brushes because painting with cheap ones is not a good thing.Bouquet of many random cookies
