Deep Bue Sea Cake

I was so excited to be able to once again make the cake and goodies for this client.  She goes all out for her kids' birthday parties.  I have had the priviledge of making sweets for  her older son's first, second, and third birthdays, then her 2nd child's baby shower and now his first birthday.  She is so creative and has such attention to details.  Every party is a production worthy of being featured in a magazine. I am always eager to see the amazing things she comes up with to make her children's parties a unique and fun one for everyone invited!  This cake is really a replica of a picture she sent me. I don't know who made this orginally, but I love the concept. I had done something similar to this for a nautical party I had for Valentines.  The cake is al vanilla. The top layer is filled with a nutella filling and the bottom is guava. Talk about yummy!!!!!

Care Bears Cake

It's incredible how things really come back!   The Care Bears were a rage back in the 80's when they first started.  I remember having a t-shirt as a teen.  I loved them as well as My Little ponies and other cute cartoons of the time.  When my client asked me to make a cake with this theme I was like, "The Care Bears? The ones with the picture on their bellies? Wow!"  She sent me a picture of a cake that had these little furry creatures on them, and although the cake was nice and the bears cute, they did not look like the actual Care Bears, so I made it my mission to have mine resemble the real ones as much as possible and I think I succeeded!  I had a blast making them.  I find myself falling in love with modeling figurines. This cake is my moist Leelee's vanillabean cake with a refreshing citrus buttercream filling and covering, then topped with marshmallow fondant.  Every single element on this cake is edible with the exception on the wire holding the clouds and hearts, obviously.  Hopefully I get more orders of retro characters.

Graduation Cupcakes

Well, school is almost over and with that moms always want to do something special for their little ones specially if they are graduating from kindergarten.  What an achievement! This client that I have had the pleasure on making cakes for before contacted me and requested that I make her cupcakes for her son.  She sent me some pictures of ideas, but expressed that she trusted and left it up to me.  These cupcakes are vanilla with a simple vanilla buttercream.  You really can't get to fancy with flavors for little ones. The simpler the better.  I made the elements out of fondant that I stabalized with a bit of Tylose. I also used primary colored cupcake liners. My client loved the cupcakes and told me that the kids in her son's class did too. Yay!

Under the Sea Cake

This cake is for another faithful client that I have been making cakes for her children for a while now.  Her little girls birthday is the Little Mermaid and she has an ornament that she is placing on top of the cake so that is why it is blank on top, but honestly, I love it just the way it is. It has such bright beautiful colors that it needs no more.

Lion King Baby Cake

Isn't he so darn cute? I was so determined that the lion look like Simba that I think I got very close to it.  Trying to sharpen my modeling skills and I feel I'm getting beter at it. He's so cute. I also made paw cookies for this shower.  This is for another faithful client.  I had the blessing of making her first baby's shower cake and cookies in the Zoo Crew Theme, then her baby's first birthday Cat in the Hat, his second birthday, Mickey's Playhouse , and now her second baby's shower. I am so happy they keep coming back for every special event in their lives. Hopefully I will continue being part of the ones to come.

Whimsical ladybug Teapot

This teapot was my design 100% and I must say that says me all over it!  I wanted it to give you the feel of a ladybug without putting the bug on it.  When I finished it, I asked one of my girls: "what does it remind you of?" and she said "it reminds me of a lady bug". I smiled becuase I had done it.  I said it and I will repeat it, I've discovered that I love making teapots.  Can't wait to come up with other designs.  The recipient of this cake was very happy and that filled my heart with joy.

Flower Teapot and cookies

A client was having a tea party for Mother's Day and she asked me to make her a teapot cake.  she showed me several pictures, but showed me one she loved and asked me to make it for her.  Although it's not exactly the same. It still has the same feel.  I am really satisfied with how clean it came out.  It really resembled a teapot. I am so happy with how it turned out and discovered that I love making teapots from cake. I made some cookies for another order for someone else that was also haveing a  tea party for Mother's Day.  I decided to use left over flowers to decorate these as well and took a picture of them as a set. Absolutely love  how they turned out. My client loved the teapot. Yay!

Jungle Cake

This cake was for a baby shower for an expectant mommy of a baby boy!  I am in love with the monkey. The cake is 3 tiers and serves a 12, 10 and an 8 inch. Each tier is 4 inches high.

Miami Heat Cake

I think the client that ordered this cake found me online or through a friend. This cake was fun to
make. I really enjoyed creating the elements for it.  It's 100% edible. This can be done for any team as well.

Cat in the Hat Cupcakes and Cakepops

I have done Cat in the Hat goodies before with more elements, but I figured I'd put these up because this is slightly different.  These were for a baby shower.  The client was referred to me by another client.  The cake-pops are red velvet, the cookies are vanilla flavor, and the cupcakes are yummy cookies and cream (to die for).  I delivered these and I was in panic mode because it was so hot and humid and I was scared that the cake pops would melt, but they made it in one piece.  The client loved her goodies. I'm sure she will be calling me for her baby's birthday.

Pretty Pink and lavender Bow Cake

A good friend of mine that always orders all her cakes from me contacted me telling me she needed a cake.  It's a good thing she trusts me because I didn't even meet or even really talked about what she really wanted in  detail.  She sketched up a drawing and made some lines pointing to the colors she wanted. I interpreted the cake as best I could because really, this is a fairly simple cake that I can do with my eyes closed, but you never know, lol!  When she saw it she loved it. Yay! was relieved!

The flavor is Leelee's moist Vanilla bean.

Fluttering butterflies baby shower sweets

I love butterflies, so when this beautiful mother to be told me she wanted butterflies for her baby shower theme, I was elated! I absolutely loved the wonderful pastel girly colors used. On our consultation we decided on vanilla cream cake pops, butter cookies, and red velvet with cream cheese flavor for the cake and cupcakes. The cupcakes I only sprinkled with pink sanding sugar because she had purchased some edible butterflies and was placing them herself at the venue.
The sweets made her happy which made me happy as well. She texted me the following message:

"Thank you so much for everything!!!! It all was beautiful and amazingly delicious!!!!
I had a lot of people asking me for your info cuz they were impressed!!! :). Couldn't have been more satisfied!!! :)))))"

Another satisfied client. Yay!

Lalaloopsy cookies

I love making things for my client Karla, she always gives me the green light to do whatever I want for her girls parties. This time though, she ordered some goodies for a friend's party. I made her cookies, pretzel sticks covered and chocolate and choco-Oreos. Karla makes these beautiful banners that are just too gorgeous.  If you are interested, in one just let me know and I will have her contact you.

American Girl "Coconut" doggie cake

This is a client that has the cutest little girls. She sometimes celebrates their birthdays together because the dates are so close.  I have had the privilege of making their cakes for quite a while now. I know I've made other cakes for them, but these are the ones I remember from the top of my head:
Wall- E Cake
Mickey Playhouse
Tangled
Toy Story

Thise year the girls wanted a cake that showed their favorite American Girl pet Coconut. I could have molded it, but I had already done something like that.  I wanted it to be fun and playful, almost cartoon like, so I did it this way and was so pleased with the results.  The bottom of the cake has the other little pets the AG have.  This cake was fairly small, 10x10 and 4 inches high. The flavor was vanilla bean with vanilla frosting.  Simple but delicious.
