Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake

I designed this cake for the cutest little boy I recently met. It was fun because I got to use color and that is one thing I love!  Ears are made of MMF with tylose. I used two sizes of round cutters to make the silhouettes

Heart Bride and Groom Cupcake Tower

I made 100 cupcakes plus an 8x8 cake for the top of the tower for a wedding.  The cake topper is made up or 2 cookie hearts decorated like the bride and groom's attire.

Storybook and Block Baby Shower Cake

I made this cake for a Baby Shower.   I loved making the baby blocks.  They are made of rice cereal treats.  They are 2x2 in size.

Valentine's Bear Mini-Cake and Cupcakes

This is a mini cake with a cute bear on top.  I made the bear out of MMF that I stiffened a little with tylose.  I used a stamp for the words.  The cupcakes are vanilla decorated with MMF and painted with food color and gold dragees.

Valentine's Hearts and pearls

This cookie on a stick is 5 inches and looks great by itself, but if made smaller, more cookies could be added to this bouquet.  I did a quilt effect and where the lines crossed I added pearlized dragees.

The smaller cookies are decorated with MMF and swirls were made with a fine brush with black food coloring.  two different flowers were added and some pearlized dragees.

Red Roses and black swirls Valentine's

I love this combination of colors.  Last year I used these colors and theme for my Valentine's dinner party.
Cookies are 3 inch letters covered in white MMF and then painted with black food coloring and a fine paint brush.  Roses are made of MMF.  The cupcake is also made the same way.

Valentine's Hugs and Kisses Cookies and Cupcakes

For the cookie bouquet I decorated the cookies with MMF then painted the lines and designs with food coloring and a fine and a flat paint brush.

The cupcakes are vanilla covered with mmf.  I used stamps and glitter dust, pear dragees to decorate them.

Zebra and Pink Cookies

A friend of mine is having a birthday party for her daughter and she had told me that her daughter loved the zebra and hot pink theme.  I told her that that was my daughter Ashley's favorite as well, she even had a dinner party for her friends with this theme.  Anyway, I got inspired and made some cookies to show her.  Most likely we will be doing these for her party.

Sugar cookies covered in MMf and the stripes were painted on with thin point paint brush.  I prefer using paint brushes to those markers they sell.

Martini Glass 21st Birthday Cake

I made this cake for a client that her daughter is turning 21.  She showed me a picture of two cakes she liked and I took elements of both and came up with this one.  The Martini glass is real.  The actual Martini is MMF mixed with piping gel so that in remains looking moist (optical illusion).  The salt in the rim is actually sparkly sugar crystal sprinkles.  I first brushed the rim with piping gel and then rolled the on the sugar.  A hurricane can't remove those crystals from the rim. The olives are made of MMF with some tylose. Everything else is MMF.  the flavor of the cake is Leelee's Specialty rum flavor, of course.  This cake is very moist, as requested.

Heart of Roses Valentine's cake

A client wanted me to make a smaller version of a 3 tiered cake for her Valentine's Day party. I suggested  a color scheme I selected which I'm using for my Valentine's dinner party this year ( So excited, I'll post pictures).  She wanted to see if they looked as nice as I said.  I happen to think that baby blue and red look very sophisticated paired up.  Especially the very pale blue and candy apple red. She loved it! I'm Happy for that!  Flavor: Gran Manier with orange zest buttercream, topped with Marshmallow Fondant! Cute! This same type of cake can be done in any combination of colors!  The sky is the limit!

Hugs and Stitches Cake

My first cake of 2010! The year already started super busy! I thank God for this blessing!  Lots of fun things to create, Yippee!
I've done this cake before, but this time the color scheme was different.  The person who ordered it has a pair of twin little girls that are turning one and she wanted this color scheme and two mini cakes for the girls. This cake serves 70 people. The flavor of the two tiered cake is marble with chocolate ganache filling , it's also covered with the ganache before being covered with the fondant.  The mini cakes are vanilla with fluffy vanilla frosting before adding the fondant.
The mini cakes were carved into flowers from 6 inch cakes.  The flower and butterflies are made with fondant with Tylose.  Details and gingham painted by hand with food coloring.  Super fun cake to create!
