Scuba Diver Cake

The client asked me if I could create a cake for her scuba diver boyfriend that pets sharks, yes sharks!!! Yikes! She mentioned several  elements she wanted on the cake: blond man with curly hair dressed in scuba gear, a diver's flag, a shark, marine life and for it to say "Happy 25th Birthday Brian".  She told me that as long as it had those elements that I could do what I wanted, so I did exactly that. When she picked it up, she was super happy with how it had turned out! Yey!  The diver, shark and flag are made out of tylose.  the coral and sea life, and the wood sign are made out of Marshmallow fondant. The water effect was made with piping gel tinted in turqouise.  The flavor was Leelee's Specialty Rum Flavor, covered in rum flavored buttercream and covered in MMF. Thanks for looking!

Justice League Cake

A good friend of mine ordered this cake for a family member that absolutely loves the Justice league.  we didn't want it to look too childish so this is what I came up with.  The details of the logos were made out of MMF with a little gumpaste and cut out with an exacto knife.  The flavor was a double fudge cake with chocolate ganache filing. I was very pleased with how it came out, and my friend was even happier.  Yey! Another satisfied customer.

Lawyer Graduation Cake

I made this cake for a great customer of mine.  I really appreciate the trust she puts in my work, and I try to the best of my ability not to disappoint her.  She had sent me two pictures of what she was thinking of for this very special celebration.  We talked it over and came up with this rendition of what she wanted.  The cake includes the colors and logo or the university the person graduated from as well as a cap symbolizing the end of his studies, and of course, a gavel showing his profession.  The client was happy with the results and I was relieved!  The flavor of this cake is Leelee's specialty vanilla flavor.
The cake is covered with MMF.  All the details, cap, gavel and other accessories are all edible and made out of RKT and gumpaste and MMF.

Cigar Box Cake grooms cake

I made this cake for my friend's wedding as a grooms cake for her husband to be. The flavor is Leelee's Vanilla Specialty.  A little note about this cake:  Some people actually thought this was a real cigar box because it was placed on a table that had cigars that at some point during the reception, the men that wanted, could go and smoke with the groom.  I stopped a gentleman that was about to try to open it and I told him not to do that because it wasn't real, that it was cake. He just looked at me funny and walked away.  Then, at the end of the reception, the grooms father went at it too, but I couldn't stop him and he did break the little lock, it was hilarious because he had a puzzled look on his face and my friend, the bride, told him it wasn't a real box, but a cake. The happy couple absolutely loved  and enjoyed it and this really made me happy as well!

Skier Cake

The client asked me to make a cake for her husband's 50th birthday celebration.  She was going to surprise him with a ski trip to Colorado, but wanted him to figure it out when he saw the cake.  I loved molding the skier.  I asked her what color was his gear and tried and used the colors to make him.  The cake is made of Leelee's Vanilla Specialty cake.  I stacked pieces of cakes and iced them with vanilla buttercream and then with white MMF making sure I gave it some movement to resemble a snow covered mountain.  I dabbed some parts of the MMF with buttercream and sprinkled with sugar crystals. Super fun cake to make.
