Teal and Red Dessert Table
I just love, love, love this color combo and so does the person I made this for. This was for a girl I consider family, beautiful, stylish Amanda Marie, not to mention that her parents are great friends of ours and our kids have grown up together. Amanda told me exactly what she wanted and I didn't want to disappoint her. I made little teal caps with red tassles to be placed on her favorite cupcake flavor, red velvet with creamcheese frosting. I also made little diplomas with a red ribbon for vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Chocolate covered pretzels where to chocolate was the shape of a diploma with a red ribbon, chocolate/nutella cake pops in teal covered in teal chocolate. marshmallow pops dipped in white chocolate rolled in teal and red sugar crystals, red chocolate covere Oreos. Her celebration was at the park so her mom had filled mason jars with red carnations and placed a teal ribbon around the jar, absolutely fabulous!!!!!! This was at placed at the dessert table as well (my dessert tables will always be very simple and the actual goodies on the table along with the colors and textures used will always be the stars and what will stand out, not too much clutter becuase after all it is a DESSERT table). Her mom, a school teacher, made the banner (forgot the name of those triangular thingies) that was the perfect backdrop for the goodies placed on the table. Amanda was delighted with how it turned out as well as her parents and that was very important to me. Yey!
Graduation Cake
I have been making cakes for this client for years now. I have lost count of how many cakes I have made for her; her girls Quinces, family birthdays, and recently her girls graduation from college and university. Her youngest daughter just graduated and she wanted a special cake to celebrate the ocasion. She sent me three separate pictures of which she wanted elements from. The doll is made of sugar. I went ahead and created exactly what she had requested and she loved it!
UM Graduation Cake
I totally loved making this cake for another one of my faithful clients. Her hubby was graduating with his MBA and she wanted to make him a special cake that showed how proud she was of his achievement. The diploma is printed with edible ink on rice paper and then placed on a piece of fondant that I curled to give it the look of a diploma that was unrolled. The flavor: chocolate fudge with chocolate ganache.
Mickey's Playhouse Cake and Cookies
This family has always entrusted me with the cakes and goodies for their kids parties, baby showers, etc. and for this I am grateful to God for allowing me to always make them happy. Last year I had an awesome time working on this little boys first birthday becuase it was Cat in the Hat and I was dying to work on that theme. This year his them was Mickey's Playhouse and the mom sent me a picture of something I had done in this theme before, so I changed a couple of things and I loved this cake more than the other one I had created before. I also made cookies for this party which I loved How they came out. The flavor of the cake was vanilla with cookies and cream buttercream. All the elements are edible.

Caring for Miami Cake
I work for a none profit counseling center formerly named CF Counseling which is a ministry of Christ Fellowship Church, the church my family and I attend. The church also had other ministries that served our community such the Mobile Unit, that provides medical and dental assistance for those without insurance, and Family Life Center that provides help to women that are pregnant by equipping them with life skills, free medical checkups, etc. Recently the church decided that it would be a great idea and combine all these three ministries under the name Caring for Miami.
On December 2 we had our first annual Christmas party as CFM where all the staff and volunteers of these three entities came to celebrate together. I thought it was a appropriate to make a cake with our logo. If you would like to learn more about CFM and how it touches our community, go to http://caringformiami.org.
